Free pickup and delivery throughout Great Falls. Drive time is 30 minutes from Colvin Street via I-495 and the GW Parkway. Properties on private drives or large lots typically require a coordinated pickup time so the truck can park appropriately. Yes — Great Falls is within our no-charge pickup zone for residential clients. 30 minutes via I-495 and the GW Parkway, blanket-wrapped white-glove transport, 2- to 3-person teams for larger pieces.

Estate-scale upholstery — do you have the bench space?

Yes. The Alexandria workshop has bench space and clearance for sectional sofas, U-shape configurations, and oversized headboards. Workshop hours and bench scheduling mean we run multi-piece projects on a phased calendar — typically 4 to 6 weeks per piece in sequence.

Equestrian fabric guidance — what works?

For tack rooms and barn-adjacent rooms: top-grain leather (conditions well under dust and humidity), performance fabrics (Sunbrella, Crypton, Perennials for washability), and durable wool blends. For library club chairs near a fireplace: traditional leather. For living-room family seating where dogs and saddle leather coexist: performance fabrics every time. We advise specific to the room at the consultation.

Hunt-country attribution work?

Yes — inherited hunt-country pieces (Federal-period sideboards, Sheraton dining sets, antique sporting prints in their original frames) come into the workshop regularly. Period-correct restoration with documentation suitable for insurance appraisal or estate documentation if needed.

Country-house drapery — grand rooms?

Standard work. Drapery for 12 to 18 foot windows, formal pleat styles (pinch-pleat, French pleat, goblet pleat for formal dining rooms), interlining for body and insulation, motorized rod systems where appropriate. On-site measurement and install across Great Falls.
